The Chaos Emeralds are seven magical gems composed of raw Chaos Energy. They can be used to achieve a Super Form, which is a powered-up state involving superpowers and golden hair. They were created by the Wise Ones, a group of elders about whom almost nothing is known.
Creation[]
The Chaos Emeralds were created by the Wise Ones, also known as the Wise-men, in the faraway land of Hyrule. They were fashioned from a swirling pool of Chaos Energy, which was created when The Awesome One accidentally sat on a bag of Skittles and farted. The Wise Ones decided to harness this energy, solidifying it into seven colorful gems, one for each of them. However, they accidentally used them to create Chaos Control, which warped the Chaos Emeralds to Angel Island. There, they were found by Knuckles, who promptly shoved them into his back pocket. The most interesting thing about this incident is that Knuckles does not, in fact, wear pants. It was then that they were stolen by Sonic, who used them to become Super Sonic. Growing fearful of Sonic's rising power, the Wise Ones sent the Chaos Emeralds away into the Special Stage.

- Shadow--becomes Super Shadow
- Knuckles--becomes Pinky
- Metal Sonic--becomes Super Metal Sonic (by copying the data on the Chaos Emeralds, not by collecting them)
